Summer Colds

The boys have Summer colds. This is a first and they have been acceptionally cranky. Especially Prince. He has been such a little pill and I'm finding myself lose patience with his behavior. Lo and behold, I open the new Ensign and read an article about parenting ans 'Love, limits and Latitude'. Boy, I felt like a crappy parent after reading that but I'm glad I read it. It was a great reminder on what my intentions and best interests are as a parent. I'm doing my best everyday and I feel I'm doing well but there's always areas I have to work on. I lose my patience and get frustrated with the naughty, relentless behavior. Oh and the indecisiveness! It kills me. Especially when they're sickies!
So, with these wonderful Summer colds, I've been using the bulb syringe to suck the crud out of their noses. I'm doing everything I can to keep them from getting Ear Infections or any other infections. Because you know that nasty drainage builds up, festers and causes that awesome bacteria to find a home. It's a nasty job and the boys HATE IT(my neighbors probably think I'm abusing my kids) but it's saving us from a trip to the doctor and some antibiotics! It has helped. Plus all moms can't stand a constant runny nose. Atleast I don't!
What can I say? I'm a snot sucker!

SAy it AINT SO!!!!!!

So Next week Boricua has to go to Delaware for work ALL WEEK LONG. Unfortunately, he has to take the car and our other one is broken...Which means I'm stuck here, with the children, all day and night, no car, only legs to walk, nowhere to go and no outlet!

What am I going to do?
Can anyone help me out to keep me sane during this long week ahead of me?
All I gotta say is, there better be a large sum of money left for me.
Pray for me....hopefully I'll last! I'll need help for sure!

HOME SEARCHING

Yes, yes, we all know the V Fam is moving ot Utarded(Utah) this September. If you wanna know why, then ask or email me because I'm not in the mood to explain myself. The wonderful festivities of moving have approached us! We've been home searching in UTah for a few weeks now and we've actually found some beautiful homes we really like! WE are so excited, to say the least! We are so ready to own a home! And a nice one at that! So far, so good! Things are slowly coming into place and Lord knows how much we want a nice starter home. I mean, literally! That's not in vain! These past few years have been extremely challenging times for us. WE ca only go up from here!
So, the area we're looking at is Eagle Mountain, Lehi, Draper and Riverton! Yep, South of the Valley! We want something new and in a new development, where our neighbors are in the same situation as us! Ya know, young, Mormon(duh, that's a given), small children close in age, working/middle class and Mama stays home to homemake and spank butts. I've lived all over Salt LAke County and Frankly, I'd like to try something new. So, Utah County it is I guess. FOR NOW!!!! And dog gonnit, we'll make the best of it!!!!!! Hey, we'll get a NEW great sized home!!!

So last week, my friend and I were trying to find Washington REdskins fabric for her dad. Don't ask...cuz IDK! But if any of you know where to get some, let me know! Anyway, I found red,white and blue fabric with 'REpublican' and elephants all over it. Next to it was 'Democrat' and Donkies all over it. I turned to my friend, puzzled, and said, " They should have fabric that says 'unafiliated'and have monkies for the animal! Then I'd buy it!" We laughed because it was silly. I mean, is there peeps out there THAT proud where they stand politically? WEll, obviously!
Catching my drift in this post, you see, when voting comes in November, I vote for NEITHER Candidates!

WORK

I need WORK. I am on hiatus and it's driving me crazy. Not bringing in that little extra income is inconvenient. My earnings would buy our food as gas for the week. But now I'm not earning anything and it's tough. And it's not just about the money! Working helps my Psyche! I get out of the house, get a break from kids and I get to dance! What's better than that? AND~ it's NOT full time! My FULL TIME 'job' is being a mom...but ti's get really hard when you don't have a vehicle during the day and you're housebound!
I just wish my former employers would call me to sub, choreograph or even do clerical work! I want to work a few hours a week! That's all I ask for! Seriously, at this point, I'm willing to do almost anything...well NOT anything but I'm not too picky about what I'd do for work!
Anyone have any job ideas for me?
What's the kicker is, I was supposed to teach all Summer! But my former employer decided(and my doctor) that it'd be in my health's best interest to refrain from teaching due to my foot. I thought I was supposed to be covered by Workmans Comp but I haven't gotten a PENNY for it. AND 'm still waiting for the wages lost in April and May! Yes, it's unnerving.
I gotta WORK!

MY NEW RING

As most know, my original wedding ring set was taken from a dumb tanning salon. I've had my eye out for a new ring and have been laying hints on Boricua for a new one. He always brushed me off and I thought a new one would only be manifested in my dreams. Little did I know, Boricua slipped this ring on my little finger Sunday morning. I was woken to a new (a little over 1 carat) shiny rock! I was so so happy! I saw this ring not too long ago and fell in love with it! It's not a traditional ring and it's big. I like big flashy rings. It matches my personality! No, it's not a 4 or 5, even 3 carrat ring but we don't live in luxury! Not yet atleast! I guess you can say one of my major weeknesses is material things! Ya, working on that. But I think any woman would be happy if they woke up to a new diamond ring! C'mon, admit it!
PROPS FOR BORICUA!!!! I guess I'm a married woman now! Your eye can't miss that bling!

Soosie did the pretty today

I did my coif in a dramatic asymetric bob, stacked in the back, with pretty caramel highlights. Oh ya, some fun little bangs. It's BANGIN'!! I sat in that chair for almost 4 hours!! TADA! The results!! It's feels good do get pretty!

Theres good reports and bad on this particular treatment. None the less, I did it! I can't find my camera to take a picture of my back! It leaves dark circular bruises on your back! Pretty funky I'd say! It was a fast and painless treatment. You just feel pressure where the suction cups are administered. It's a good pressure. I personally thought it felt really good. My acupuncturist offered me the treamtent after my traumatic fall. It did ease alot of muscle tension and by Tuesday, I felt alot better. Acupuncture cam into play with that as well. Watch out for slippery tubs!

On a nice Sunday morning, while I was taking a lovely little shower before church, I slipped and fell out of my shower. And boy was it a fall!!
I fell right out, flew(it felt like) and hit the back of my head and neck right on the edge of my bathroom door! Boricua ran to my rescue and I just sat there, naked, holding onto my head. It was a little humiliating but I was too stunned to feel the humiliation and I mean, it was just Boricua that witnessed it. By now, nothing phases us anymore! ha! So, I found the courage to finish my shower, dizzy, hurty and a huge knot on my head. I got out and started feeling funny. So I went and lyed down. Boricua was very concerned but I couldn't tell him I was fine because I wasn't sure if I was. Well, a few minutes past and I decided to finish gettting ready for church. I went and it seemed like a big blur.
Come to find out, I had a very minor concussion! I didn't snap out of it until Tuesday! It was no fun but kind of funny how it happened!
Be careful in the tub! ha!

UGH...LIFE...

It can be so rough at times. Especially when everything hits all at once. I have an option to take it as a grain of salt, or loose it. What will I do?

The lean mean fighting machine

Lately I've noticed Princes Personality come out. As is natural for developement when these preschool ages children start developing a sense of self. Well, I was worried at first and I'll tell you why: He loves to fight. He think's he's Max Incredible or Spiderman. Sometimes he's a big monster, who's green and strong..like The Hulk. He'll charge at you full speed ahead and punch the jeebs out of you. He's very aggressive and loves contact play. Prince loves to be loud and roudy. I've caught him in a few lies and he answers them with a simple, " Nuffing ". He has to let everyone know that he's Three, tall and sttttrroonnngg(while he flexes his arms and growls). I think him being a scary monster is his favorite. He is so rough with little peanut Wise but he thinks it's funny. I tell him over and over again but I'm a joke to him now. I started wondering if he was an angry, out of control boy, who'll have a hard time in school and with peers...but then I said to myself, " NAHHHH!!! HE'S A BOY!!! "

HE'S A BOY with a great imagination and alot of personality!
Looks like I'll have a boy who loves contact sports!
