SCARY MONDAY

The past week the boys have been battling a cold. Prince seemed to have been hit with the bug the most. His coughing continued. He broke out in hives for two days...still unsure how that happened. He was cranky and warmer than normal. By the weekend, he seemed to be getting better. But he was still cranky...

6:00 am Monday morning, he storms in my room, crying awakens me and he says his ear hurt. I thought maybe he slept on it wrong. So I checked his forhead for a fever. It wasn't extra warm and I sent his back to bed.

8:30 am rolls around. He STILL is complaining about his ear. I asked him where the pain was. He just pointed to his ear and said it was , "Big". Okay, so I thought it was plugged from drainage from his cold.

9:30 rolls around. He's lethargic. His ear still hurts. Boricua tells me his ears are dirty and told me to gently clean them out. So, I give it a try. I look into his right ear, the one that hurts and clean the outer part of it. I go on to the next. OF course, he's fighting me. He's laying on my lap, with his right ear lying on my leg. My bro in law was helping me, then he shouts out, " OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! He's bleeding! He bleeding!" I suddenly lift him up, there's blood all over my pants and what do'ya know, he's bleeding OUT OF HIS EAR! No trickle trickle. More like gush gush! My bro in law freaked out and said, " Call the cops! Get the ambulance!" Boricua and I were completely calm. I was totally alarmed though! I mean, he was bleeding out of his EAR! I was afraid his ear drum popped or he had some blood pressure...annurism...I didn't know! Then I put the hurty ear and bleeding together and figured...it's gotta be some major ear infection! We quickly put our shoes on and drove to the Emergency room. ON our way there, PRince was completely pale and lethargic. I was getting worried. He wasn't all there. Right when we went to check him in, SPPPLLLLAAATT! He throws up all over the place..and again...and again...and again....AND AGAIN!!! Thank goodness for those throw-up elephant trunk bags. Yah, not doggy bags...they look like elephant trunks! Hence, the name! Anyway, we get back... Prince yelps, " Imma throw up! Imma throw up!" He upchecked again. Afterwards, he'd say in agony, "I'm done...I'mm donnnee." PRolonged... Then the verdict came in...a super bad ear infection! Something ruptured in his ear! Now we're on the heavy duty antibiotic drill and Prince is feeling back to normal now.
It was surely a scary experience!

The ANNUAL BOYS birthday party

Wise and PRince's Birthdays are two weeks apart and we decided to do a combined birthday party! I always ask myself why I do it because it's such a pain in the butt to prepare but it always turns out to be ALOT OF FUN!
It was CHAOS! Pure and UTTER chaos! Trying to regulate both of the boys when opening presents, um ,crrazy. But good crazy! WE had are family a few very close friends come and join us. Of course we partied it up YO GABBA GABBA style! That's my boy's favorite show! And oddly enough, some of the parents didn't even know what Yo Gabba Gabba was!! GGGAAASSSPPP!!! Why, it's only the best kids show on TV! I guess the moms are Disney fans but dog gonnit, watch Nick JR sometimes! Yo Gabba Gabba is the most creative and hip show. The V Fam loves it. Nonetheless, we exposed all of our party harty guests to the coveted YO GABBA GABBA.
Heaven forbid I did major decorations. BLAGH. I did do super goody bags! I used blue paper sack bags and attatched the head and arms to each bags with the characters of the show. They were really cute. Then I did some cut outs, had the themed plates and cups. IT was super duper.

But alas, NO BIG parties next year!!!!

St. Patricks Day

The V fam doesn't celebrate it much....but my old 5th grade teacher came to visit me and asked me if the leperchauns were coming to visit our house...I looked at her puzzled...she then reprimended me and said, "YOu have to celebrate it with your kids! It's fun!" I took her advice. Like I always did back in 5th grade and still do to this day. Odd a student has a friendship with one of their former teachers? Well, in all of the wrong ways, yes. But I must share that this particular teacher was my hero..or herione..her being a she and all...We've managed to keep in touch all of these years and she's like a mom to me. I love her and look up to her. She is the best teacher I EVER HAD and any child is very lucky to have her as a school teacher.
But anyway..I got off track...so...after lunch with my 5th grade teacher (sounds so funny!), she opted to head to the store, to get gold wrapped candy and green mints. She told me to make a trail and tell my boys the leperchaun visited! The boys bought it! They loved it!!! And now it's going to be a stuck tradition!!
OH yah, she convinced me into buying green food coloring to make green pancakes too! OF COURSE I'm doing it! She's a school teacher! She has all of the good ideas and KNOWS what kids like....since teaching kids for 22 years!
So, it turned out to be a green happy dappy day....despite a few setbacks with work...

Prince's night time questions...

I just tucked Prince in for bed and he innocently asks me,
" Mom, where's Jesus? "

I replied, " He's up in Heaven and watching over you. "

he then said, " Well, I don' wan' him to be far far away. "

I said, " He's not! He's with you wherever you go and making sure you're safe! "

He then said profoundly, " OH.."
And that was it...

FROM THE CAPTIONS BELOW....

You have to start from the bottom UP!!!!

Wise's birthday

He was combating a major cold but was a good sport. The pics go in order with the scenerio:
..."I'm sick and I want to go nuh-nigh'. Please don't put me in my high chair AGAIN!"
..." Ahhhhh!!! Why is everyone singing so loudly to me in my FACE?!"
..." Well, it wasn't so bad I guess..I got to blow out some fire."
..." YUMMM!!!! Cake!!!! Sick?? ME?? NO!!"
..." CHEEEEESEE!!!!" ( yes, he literally said that!)

It was fun! Now it's onto the COMBINED party for both boys! All Yo Gabba Gabba themed and all!
...I'm still trying to understand why I do these parties every year...oh wait..this year matters because it'll be the first time my family can come!

ENJOY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY BOY

TWO YEARS HAVE PASSED and this day is vivid in my mind. What an amazing spirit you have and how you've enriched my life. You are the sweetest and most lovable little boy. You're always happy and LOVE to be cuddled. I love to watch you discover the things we are surrounded with in this life. I love how you twiddle your fingers together when you're intensely watching Yo Gabba Gabba or Little Einsteins on TV. I love watching your little legs work as they try to run really fast. I love it when you twirl your hair and ask for your 'bobo'. I love your big smile and big hazel eyes. I love it when you crawl into bed with me, ley your head on the pillow and say, "Nah-Nigh'"... Then you pretend to fall asleep. I love how well mannered you are. I love how you admire dad, aka, Dadda. I love how little you are. And most of all, I love how you make my life soo much more worth while!

LOVE YOU!!!!

A WHIRLWIND OF A RE-CAP!!!!

PLEASE MY BELOVED READERS!
Bare with my neglect to write and allow me to recap! Pretty please??!!

Well, first, I didn't blog about my 4 year wedding anniversary! GASP!! How dare I??!! It was already nearly a month ago since then! Well, this year, we took NO photos but had a FULL day of pampering at the day spa. I had a nearly two hour long pedicure but before that, I enjoyed an hour long seaweed back massage. After my marathon pedicure, Boricua and I enjoyed a partner facial. We were GLOWING afterwards. Of course we couldn't pass the day by without some dessert..and no not that kind of dessert..we had cheesecake! From the Cheesecake Factory! Then, our day was over by 6 pm and my brother re-welcomed us with our kids. That was that. Another year older and another year wiser...or so how the cliche goes.

We were then informed of a visitor who's coming to stay with us until he starts school. Well, that visitor has since taken alot of my mental energy. Not because he's a bad kid but because he's a teenager. He likes to see how far he can bend the rules before the rule stick snaps. It's only turned into me snapping and not the rule stick.

We have a GREAT Ward. The youth love 'chillin' at our house...but then again, I found out one of the young men was afraid of me! ME??!! Lil' old Soosie? No!!! Well you know, I did have a right to be irritated when I came home from teaching, my house was full of teenagers, my kids weren't being watched and they were on my computer! I think any parent can relate!

I'm still trying to get the decor done to my house...since the pictures, things have been done or added..'nuff said.

The boys brithdays are coming up and Wise's happen's to fall on Friday the 13th this year. Oh dear.

Boricua and I will speak in Sacrament Meeting for the first time this month. I opted for him to speak on HUMILITY and SELF CONTROL...because he likes to get haughty and arrogent at times..oh dang! You didnt' hear that from me!!

YES! I finished my chair. You can see photos on my Facebook account. It's super cute.
Other than that..it's same ol' same ol' in Soosie-ville, aka DancNplay's land!

Cheerio!
