Another year, two other Birthdays!

Welp, March is just about over and we celebrated my two boys birthdays, yet again! Wise is a big, stinkin, wild, roudy, messy, silly and goofy 3 year old. He gets into everything and makes a new mess every morning for me to clean up...of course HE HAS TO HELP or little guy will get a time out!! He is definately a 'terrible 3 year old'. 'Terrible TWOS' don't exsist in the V FAm Casa...it's the THREES! HOLY BANANA TORTURE FRUSTRATION! Dog gon! I can't keep up! I'm ready to lose my marbles some days! But Nonetheless, Wise is my baby wise. I love him to smithereens and he makes my day more exciting.

Next up was my Prince. My first born! He thinks he's all huge 'n' stuff 'cuz he's 5! He's so smart and intuitive. He's very creative and alot like his old mom. He's very sensitive and in tune with his emotions...that's for darn sure!! He LOVEs pop culture and his favorite singer rightnow is Justin Bieber...he thinks he's one cool kat. Prince loves breakdancing and loves to show me his tricks. He's still set on being an Actor and Heart Surgeon...

The D&E dish

In February, I was prescribed a serious diet plan via my chiropractor. I happened to stumble upon my chiropractor who has a special Fibromyalgia diet and I only picked his name by chance through my insurance. I got totally lucky. His practice is amazing and his approach to pain relief is relieving. He and some others have come up with this diet that reduces inflammation throughout your entire body to reduce pain. It's prescribed to those with Fibromyalgia. I am on fruits, veggies, lean meats and tree nuts; or the 'Paleo Diet'. I have to avoid dairy, grains, gluten, wheat, fatty meats, refined sugars, salt and certain fatty oils. Sounds pretty awful, right? Well, its actually not! OF course the first few days are hard but you get used to it very quickly. I'd say a typical day of eating for me would be; fruits and a handful of almonds with a cup of herbal tea for breakfast, fresh avocado and gluten free brown rice crackers for lunch, grapes or blueberries as a snack, chicken lettuce wraps for dinner and a handful of yogurt raisons for dessert. Sometimes I'll really treat myself to hazelnut gluten free crackers with a little spread of Nutella on top. I drink tons of water and take powdered reds (fruits, fiber, enzymes, omegas, probiotics, super antioxidants) in the morning and my powered greens (veggies, antioxidants and everything else) at night. Level 1 on the Paleo diet allows 3 open meals a week. Which is foods not listed on the diet plan. Level 2 is 2 open meals a week and Level 3 is 1 open meal a week. I'm still on level 1. When it's your time to have open meal, you can hardly eat much of it because your body has adapted to the diet. A nice little treat is alot more rewarding, however!
Getting rid of all those inflammation foods and sticking to the foods humans are meant to eat, it increases your energy and decreases pain by 85%. It's been two weeks and I feel like a brand new person!! I have so much more energy and drive. I don't get migraines anymore and I'm in much less pain! My muscle recovery from a hard workout is alot faster as well. I can get up easier in the morning and hit up the gym EVERY DAY without any problems! I can do two-a-days, no prob! It's amazing! I feel so so so GREAT!! I've been working out really hard 6 days a week! It's been consecutive for about 3 weeks now and I've already lost 7 pounds! I've dropped an entire pant size. I'm losing about 3 pounds a week! I feel so great! ON top of my adjustments, I'm in such great relief. My pain level never exceeds a 6. And a 6 is on a bad day! I used to surpass 10!
So, to those suffering from any kind of Chronic Pain, let me suggest the Paleo Diet! It works!

Vegas Baby

This year Boricua and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary Vegas style. It was officially the first time we've gone out of town and spent longer than a day without kids! Pretty wild. It was pretty fabulous. We had the best time! Boricua lost his Vegas virginity and I'd say he lost it pretty well! He loved it. I know he did. It was really nice to focus on just us for 2 days.

Our Anniversary in on February 12Th. So every year, it's our Valentines Day. We left that Friday late afternoon and returned Sunday night. It was short yet super sweet. We had a suite up in the Rio Hotel. Our view sucked but the room was nice. What's cool about that hotel is every room has an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows. I was bummed our view was the roof top of their lower level...woo.

We met up with my dearest friend, whom I haven't seen in a long time. He used to dance with me at my mom's studio. I also got to meet his amazing friend and I love him to death. I was in bliss being surrounded by men that I love so much! He got us into TAO through his famous waiter friend (who was recently on Keeping Up With The Kardashians). He was a super cute guy too! Tao was amazing. The food is incredible. The Nightclub was fun but way too packed....it was The Chinese New Year AND Valentines Day Weekend...Vegas was totally packed. We ended up leaving around midnight and we sat at the Venetian talking and being the 'fashion police' until 3 in the morning!...Some chicks needs fashion advice form yours truly ;)!

The Next day we met back up with my friends and we have a lovely brunch and ate the most amazing omelets you could ever have. Then we ended up at a Walmart exchanging 6 dollar batteries and walking around the entire store looking for Rockstar drinks! hahahaa...it was funny. My friends showed us around town and that's when we bid farewell. It was such a fun weekend. I'm sure Boricua and I will keep this as a highlight of the many more anniversaries to come!
