Visit my ePortfolio!

HI EVERYONE!! I don't have time to get on here much but I will try to post fun stuff during the Holiday break!

I wanted to extend my ePortfolio online! It was created for some of my schoolwork to be presented with reflective writing, as well as my resume and work related biographies and cirriculums. It really reflects me and what my life consists of as of now. My personal life philosophy paper is posted there and this paper received an A+! My professor personally called me and asked if he could share my story with others. I was very flattered!

Anyway, I'm very busy hese days. I have my dance classes, my dance company, my Zumba classes, full time school and family! It's alot to juggle but all VERY worth it! I'm busting my butt so I can get into medical school here in a few years. I know I can do it. Other may question my abilities but whatever you set your mind to, YOU CAN DO! It's the truth!!

Here is my ePortfolio website address: www.sarahvtheultimategogetter.yolasite.com

Go visit it!! THANKS!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Another year, two other Birthdays!

Welp, March is just about over and we celebrated my two boys birthdays, yet again! Wise is a big, stinkin, wild, roudy, messy, silly and goofy 3 year old. He gets into everything and makes a new mess every morning for me to clean up...of course HE HAS TO HELP or little guy will get a time out!! He is definately a 'terrible 3 year old'. 'Terrible TWOS' don't exsist in the V FAm Casa...it's the THREES! HOLY BANANA TORTURE FRUSTRATION! Dog gon! I can't keep up! I'm ready to lose my marbles some days! But Nonetheless, Wise is my baby wise. I love him to smithereens and he makes my day more exciting.

Next up was my Prince. My first born! He thinks he's all huge 'n' stuff 'cuz he's 5! He's so smart and intuitive. He's very creative and alot like his old mom. He's very sensitive and in tune with his emotions...that's for darn sure!! He LOVEs pop culture and his favorite singer rightnow is Justin Bieber...he thinks he's one cool kat. Prince loves breakdancing and loves to show me his tricks. He's still set on being an Actor and Heart Surgeon...

The D&E dish

In February, I was prescribed a serious diet plan via my chiropractor. I happened to stumble upon my chiropractor who has a special Fibromyalgia diet and I only picked his name by chance through my insurance. I got totally lucky. His practice is amazing and his approach to pain relief is relieving. He and some others have come up with this diet that reduces inflammation throughout your entire body to reduce pain. It's prescribed to those with Fibromyalgia. I am on fruits, veggies, lean meats and tree nuts; or the 'Paleo Diet'. I have to avoid dairy, grains, gluten, wheat, fatty meats, refined sugars, salt and certain fatty oils. Sounds pretty awful, right? Well, its actually not! OF course the first few days are hard but you get used to it very quickly. I'd say a typical day of eating for me would be; fruits and a handful of almonds with a cup of herbal tea for breakfast, fresh avocado and gluten free brown rice crackers for lunch, grapes or blueberries as a snack, chicken lettuce wraps for dinner and a handful of yogurt raisons for dessert. Sometimes I'll really treat myself to hazelnut gluten free crackers with a little spread of Nutella on top. I drink tons of water and take powdered reds (fruits, fiber, enzymes, omegas, probiotics, super antioxidants) in the morning and my powered greens (veggies, antioxidants and everything else) at night. Level 1 on the Paleo diet allows 3 open meals a week. Which is foods not listed on the diet plan. Level 2 is 2 open meals a week and Level 3 is 1 open meal a week. I'm still on level 1. When it's your time to have open meal, you can hardly eat much of it because your body has adapted to the diet. A nice little treat is alot more rewarding, however!
Getting rid of all those inflammation foods and sticking to the foods humans are meant to eat, it increases your energy and decreases pain by 85%. It's been two weeks and I feel like a brand new person!! I have so much more energy and drive. I don't get migraines anymore and I'm in much less pain! My muscle recovery from a hard workout is alot faster as well. I can get up easier in the morning and hit up the gym EVERY DAY without any problems! I can do two-a-days, no prob! It's amazing! I feel so so so GREAT!! I've been working out really hard 6 days a week! It's been consecutive for about 3 weeks now and I've already lost 7 pounds! I've dropped an entire pant size. I'm losing about 3 pounds a week! I feel so great! ON top of my adjustments, I'm in such great relief. My pain level never exceeds a 6. And a 6 is on a bad day! I used to surpass 10!
So, to those suffering from any kind of Chronic Pain, let me suggest the Paleo Diet! It works!

Vegas Baby

This year Boricua and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary Vegas style. It was officially the first time we've gone out of town and spent longer than a day without kids! Pretty wild. It was pretty fabulous. We had the best time! Boricua lost his Vegas virginity and I'd say he lost it pretty well! He loved it. I know he did. It was really nice to focus on just us for 2 days.

Our Anniversary in on February 12Th. So every year, it's our Valentines Day. We left that Friday late afternoon and returned Sunday night. It was short yet super sweet. We had a suite up in the Rio Hotel. Our view sucked but the room was nice. What's cool about that hotel is every room has an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows. I was bummed our view was the roof top of their lower level...woo.

We met up with my dearest friend, whom I haven't seen in a long time. He used to dance with me at my mom's studio. I also got to meet his amazing friend and I love him to death. I was in bliss being surrounded by men that I love so much! He got us into TAO through his famous waiter friend (who was recently on Keeping Up With The Kardashians). He was a super cute guy too! Tao was amazing. The food is incredible. The Nightclub was fun but way too packed....it was The Chinese New Year AND Valentines Day Weekend...Vegas was totally packed. We ended up leaving around midnight and we sat at the Venetian talking and being the 'fashion police' until 3 in the morning!...Some chicks needs fashion advice form yours truly ;)!

The Next day we met back up with my friends and we have a lovely brunch and ate the most amazing omelets you could ever have. Then we ended up at a Walmart exchanging 6 dollar batteries and walking around the entire store looking for Rockstar drinks! hahahaa...it was funny. My friends showed us around town and that's when we bid farewell. It was such a fun weekend. I'm sure Boricua and I will keep this as a highlight of the many more anniversaries to come!

Boricua's gift

I forgot to post it!! His family photos on the wall. They were wrapped up and given to him for his birthday! They're gorgeous!

BORICUA'S the BIG 2-8!!!

My old man turned the big 28 on the 26th of January. He doesn't like to be reminded because he doesn't like the thought of getting old. I think it's funny. Because he's still so young and looks even younger. He ages VERY gracefully. He still has that little baby face and hasn't put on a 'old man gut' yet...though I noticed a bit of pudge but all he has to do is run and it'll melt right off. But heck it's alright! I love him no matter what...he just better stay in shape! ;)

He had no idea of his gift, let alone even getting a gift for his bday. I surprised his of al framed photos from our family photo shoot back in December. They are beautiful. The boys got his some exercise pants (whoa...am I hinting to him on something?) and gave him a card with 'warm fuzzies' in it...their idea! Cute! One of Boricua's co-workers came over and watched the kids as we went out. We have a lovely dinner (at chili's...haha) and watched 'The Lovely Bones'(good movie.I want to read the book now). That was the fisrt time we've watched a movie together in the theatres since 2007, when I was about ready to pop (I actually did 3 days later) with Wise. So, it was nice! EXTRA NICE! Then of course I made him his favorite cake; Pineapple Upside down Cake. He demolished it by the next day. I would too if I were someone to taste my cake...it's the best...EVER.

His big 28th birthday was nice. I also recieved a gift too that day; he cleaned the entire house in the morning! Like, even scrubbed the tub because I was complaining about the soapscum! WOW! That's how lucky I am! My man cleans the house on his birthday. Life can't get much better than that!

Next is our 5 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! February 12th! V-day weekend! We're GOING TO VEGAS!! YAY!!!!!!!! Can't believe it's been 5 years...well... I can believe it, it's just mind boggling! I love him more than ever today!

The start of 2010

What a grande way to start the new year....sense my sarcasm? Here's the deal:

My eyes have been bigging the crap out of me the past few months and they seem to get worse. My left pupil is still larger and I continue to get Migraines behind my eyes. They last for days. My Migraines just aren't normal Migraines. With having Fibromyalgia, my pain is debilitating and very little alleviates the pain. I'm down for days, my eysight is affected, I'm nauseous, lethargic, hurt all over my body, confused, dizzy and just sick. They wipe me out.
I thought I for sure needed glasses. I went to an eye doctor and had my eyes checked. Surprise, surprise; my vision isn't 20/20 anymore but that wasn't even an issue, according to doc. My eyes are healthy. It's not my eyes. It's something else and Doc was very concerned about my pupil not working like it should. He ordered me bloodwork and an MRI/MRA the very same day to rule out any kind of brain tumors. Now I am to see a Nuero Opthamologist to get more answers. So, my issue isn't getting a pair of contact lenses. It's something Nuerological. Am I surprised? Not really. I practically lived in a Hospital as a Teenager and saw a Nuerologist weekly. Why? Because of having Fibromyalgia. This Autoimmune disorder causes so many freaking symptoms but there's still so many questions to this Disorder. Your Central Nervous System doesn't work properly, transmitting pain throughout the body and causing many symptoms. It's HELL...becuase there's not much you can do about it.
My MRI cam back normal. I have a great brain. My vessels are good. I already knew this but it's part of Dr procedure to so such extensive testings. I'm really upset it's left me even MORE in medical debt. I do have insurance but I have a whopping 1,500 deductable. And I still am trying to pay for my Hernia surgery. It's seriously retarded. Now a Nuero Opthamologist? I'm ready to just decline doc orders for the sake of my sanity! I don't care anymore.
So, this year is starting pretty awesome, I may say.

..boo hisss....sometimes I don't get life.
