My mom gave me an old chair that I thought was just so cute. It's been passed down for many years and re-finished somewhere in the 70s. This chair was built in 1926 through Thomasville Furniture. I am TOTALLY OBSESSED with vintage and antiques rightnow. It's a crime. Then I find it very stimulating to take these pieces and refurbish them myself! So....hence..it's what I'm doing with this amazing chair!
I found some super cute fabric from Ikea. I thought the black coordinated with my bookshelf and the splash of color and design went perfect with my pink wall. I will cover the padding with the fabric and will be painting the chair an off white. Then I'm distressing the chair; so it'll look a bit rustic/antique and it'll add character. Then I'll finish it off with a matte finishing spray. I just ripped the old padding off and folded the fabric over the seat to see how it'd look....As you see Below!!
It's going to be STELLAR once I'm done!!!!! Woohooo! I have a new hobby!
